Digital filling assistant for Wohngeld and Grundsicherungsgeld (Bürgergeld) in Germany. Answer simple questions — we fill in the official form for you.
That's true: the official form is free, and advice centres such as Caritas, AWO or VdK help you fill it in at no cost. With AmtWerk you're not paying for the form, but for AmtWerk filling it in for you automatically, right away and in your own language — without waiting for an appointment or an interpreter.
Wohngeld and Kinderzuschlag cost 14,90 € each, Grundsicherungsgeld 8,90 € — a fixed price, no hidden costs, no subscription. The lower price for Grundsicherungsgeld is deliberate: whoever applies for it has no income of their own, and that shouldn't be what stops them. Answering all the questions and viewing a preview of your application is free. You only pay right at the end, just before you download your finished application package.
No. AmtWerk is a private, independent service and is not part of any public authority. We use the genuine official forms.
No, you do that yourself. You download your finished application package, sign it digitally or by hand and submit it — printed out, by post, or as a signed PDF by email. It's best to save the file somewhere safe right after downloading it.
Your answers stay on your device, and your PDF is created directly in your browser — not on a server. You don't need an account. Only your payment and invoice data goes through Stripe and is stored GDPR-compliant on a server in Frankfurt; to check your place of birth we also query the map service OpenStreetMap. We don't use any tracking or advertising networks.
No. AmtWerk is purely a form-filling aid — not legal advice and not a public authority. Whether you're entitled to anything, and how much, is decided solely by the Jobcenter, the Wohngeld office, the Familienkasse or the naturalisation authority. For legal questions, turn to a social advice centre or a lawyer.
Your application is decided solely by the authority, based on your personal situation — nobody can guarantee approval, and neither can we. A rejection is therefore not a fault in our product and, on its own, not a reason for a refund. You can file an objection (Widerspruch) against the decision itself; an advice centre or a lawyer can help you with that.
Normally you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. But because your application package is digital content, that right expires as soon as the download is available to you — you confirm this yourself with a checkbox before paying. All the details are in our withdrawal policy at the very bottom of this page.
Yes. Right after payment, our payment provider Stripe automatically sends the invoice by email to the address you enter at checkout.
If you downloaded the backup file after paying: yes. Upload it under “Restore access” and your answers and your paid download are back, on another device too. Without that file your answers are gone: they only ever existed on your device, we never had a copy. All we can do then is check with your order number whether your payment arrived — the number is on the invoice Stripe emailed you. So download the backup file right at the end; it is small and stays with you only.
